Rental Program - How It Works
WHY RENT
The WaterRower Rental Program is a great way to experience the health and joys of rowing – all from the comfort of your home and without the commitment of purchasing a rower outright.
MINIMAL INITIAL INVESTMENT
Rent for as little as $39/month for Hybrid, $49/month for Original (Oak or Club), $59/ month for Original (Cherry or Walnut), $69/month for Performace (Oak or Walnut), $69/month for Metallic (M1 LoRise or M1 HiRise), and $79/month for Ergatta‡.
FLEXIBLE TERMS
There is no long-term obligation – only a minimum of 3-month rental period required. After 3 months have passed, you can purchase or return the rower at any time or continue renting for as long as you'd like.
RENT-TO-BUY AT A DISCOUNT
The longer the rental period, the deeper the discount.
FULL PARTS AND WARRANTY
The rower is covered under warranty for all parts throughout the duration of the rental period.
HOW IT WORKS
LEASE SIGNING
Pay deposit and 3 months of rental fees up-front. Shipping is free.*
AFTER 3 MONTHS
Beginning with your 4th month, pay your monthly rental fee as a month-to-month lease.
RETURN OR BUY
If returning your rental, we refund your deposit (less a return shipping fee). Or purchase your rental unit at a pro-rated price, plus a one-time admin fee.
Rental units are not new – they are Certified Pre-Owned units that have been overhauled, cleaned,
and are in like-new condition.
Rental fees will be deducted from your bank account and / or credit card automatically once per month until either
the rental unit is returned, the Rental Contract concludes, or the rental unit is purchased outright.
The rental period begins from the date the rental unit is shipped. The minimum rental term is only 3 months.
Unless the Rental Contract is terminated and the rental unit is returned on or before the expiration of the 3-month
initial period, the rental contract will continue on a month-to-month basis under the same terms and conditions of
the initial rental period.
Any extension of the rental period may be terminated by you with written notice to WaterRower (email us at
[email protected]) sent not less than 15 days prior to the expiration of the applicable rental period. Provided
the rental equipment is returned to WaterRower on or before the expiration of the applicable rental period, the
Rental Contract will terminate on the last day of the applicable rental period.
* A shipping fee of $350 is charged to residents of Alaska and Hawaii for Ergatta units.

RETURNING YOUR RENTAL UNIT
Once the 3-month minimum lease term has passed, you may return your unit at any time. To return
your unit, contact [email protected].
When you return your rental unit to us, we deduct a collection fee from your original deposit amount and issue you a
refund. Your refund will be issued upon receipt of your complete rental unit in good condition.

working condition. After inspecting your returned rental unit, we'll issue your refund.

BUYING YOUR RENTAL UNIT
Once the 3-month minimum lease term has expired, you may purchase your rental unit at any time at a discount. It's simple – the longer you rent, the greater the discount.

As mentioned above, rental units are not brand new at the start
of the rental period – thus, rental units are further discounted depending on their age as outlined below:

If you purchase your rental unit, the amount of your original deposit (at lease signing) will be
credited towards the purchase price and you will be charged a one-time administrative fee of $19.95.
